Melissa (“Mel”) Geracimos is a seasoned financial services professional with a passion for building meaningful relationships to help clients achieve their dreams. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® for more than 20 years, Mel brings deep expertise and a client-first philosophy to every interaction.

Professional History
Mel’s career began as a volunteer with Army Community Services, where she helped service members and their families learn the fundamentals of personal finance. After relocating to the Washington, D.C., area, she held roles with Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, and Alex. Brown and Sons, rising from registered assistant to partner on two teams. She later launched her own wealth advisory practice, building on her experience to provide personalized financial planning and wealth management.
Throughout her career, Mel has worked with wealth management firms to enhance the financial and qualitative lives of her clients. She is excited to join the like-minded professionals at Aurelius Family Office, where she collaborates to help clients enjoy the journey of planning and the satisfaction of achieving their goals — living out the firm’s mission of Financial Planning for Every Stage of Life.

Community Involvement
Melissa served as both a board member and Chairperson of the McLean Estate Planning Council (MEPC) in McLean, VA. MEPC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to bringing together estate planning attorneys, financial planners, wealth advisors, and tax professionals to further education and collaboration on behalf of clients.
Greatest Personal Satisfaction
Mel finds joy in gathering with family and friends to share a meal and laughter. She loves traveling to explore other countries’ art collections, coastlines, cities, mountains — and, of course, their food. She also cherishes long, peaceful days at her West Virginia mountaintop home, taking in the wraparound views, tending flower and vegetable gardens, listening to the birds, and enjoying the quiet beauty of nature.
