Brenda Winslow, AIF®, GPHR®

Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer

Brenda Winslow is an integral member of our financial advisory firm, holding the dual roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. With a wealth of experience spanning more than 25 years in the financial services sector, Brenda brings a comprehensive understanding of brokerage and RIA operations, compliance, and human resources. Brenda’s journey began with a regional broker-dealer in Ohio, where she spent 9 years as a licensed sales assistant. Her career path transitioned to a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm, where she continued to excel in various capacities, including Operations Manager, Human Resources Manager, and Chief Compliance Officer. Beyond her roles within RIA firms, Brenda has also extended her knowledge as a consultant, providing guidance in areas such as operations, information technology, human resources, and compliance to other RIA firms.

Educationally, Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management degree from Walsh University, underscoring her dedication to a solid academic foundation. While Brenda finds great professional satisfaction in equipping our advisory teams with the necessary resources to streamline their work and enhance client service, her personal fulfillment revolves around her husband and a passion for international travel. Morgan Rogers, CFA, CAIA

Director, Investment Operations

Morgan Rogers plays a central role as the Investment Operations Manager at Aurelius, overseeing client investment accounts and leading the Investment Committee. With a robust background encompassing over six years in financial services, Morgan’s experience spans advisory, compliance, and operations realms. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Florida and embarked on his career as a licensed financial advisor with a national broker-dealer in Florida. Notably, Morgan brings unique experiences from his tenure as a former Signals Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Army, where he undertook two combat deployments with the Central Command Crisis Response Force. His military background further enriches his skill set, as he has managed trading operations and contributed to the Investment Committee of a registered investment advisory firm in Colorado.

Professionally, Morgan derives immense satisfaction from collaborating with the advisory team to customize investment solutions and navigate markets, enabling clients to achieve their financial goals. Holding professional certifications as a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder, Morgan’s commitment to excellence is evident. On a personal note, his greatest joy comes from his wife and witnessing his daughter’s growth amid the mountain adventures that Colorado offers, whether it’s hiking, skiing, or rock climbing. Morgan’s multifaceted journey underscores his dedication to delivering tailored financial guidance and embracing life’s meaningful moments.

Jake Alden

Investment Operations Associate

Jake Alden serves as an essential member of the Aurelius team, holding the role of Investment Operations Associate. In this capacity, he contributes to portfolio allocations, rebalancing, portfolio reconciliation, and trading activities. Prior to joining Aurelius, Jake garnered valuable experience at a Multi Single-Family Office in Boston, MA, where he was an integral part of the Client Service Team. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

Beyond his professional commitments, Jake is an avid volunteer, dedicating his time to maintaining local hiking and mountain biking trail networks. His personal joy is in spending quality moments with family and friends, engaging in activities such as camping, hiking in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, mountain biking, skiing, fly fishing, or hunting throughout New England. Gordon L. Nelson, CPA, CFP®

Director, Financial Planning

Gordon Nelson brings nearly three decades of invaluable experience in financial services to his role as a Director, Financial Planning at Aurelius. Serving as both a financial and tax planner, Gordon’s extensive background includes public accounting and financial advisory. Armed with a Master’s degree in accounting with a tax emphasis from Utah State University, Gordon’s multifaceted skills play a crucial role in helping clients navigate intricate financial planning, estate planning, and tax challenges.

Gordon’s professional journey began in public accounting, where he advanced to become a partner in a CPA firm. He then transitioned to financial advising and dedicated two decades to assisting individuals with comprehensive financial, tax, estate, and charitable gift planning, alongside investment management. Holding the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) certifications, Gordon’s commitment to his craft is unwavering. Greg Barishian, CPA, CFP®

Director, Tax Planning

Greg Barishian plays a pivotal role as the Director, Tax Planning at Aurelius, bringing over 25 years of experience as a CPA. His capabilities are fortified by his dual professional credentials as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®). His career satisfaction is rooted in crafting financial plans that empower clients to visualize and achieve their financial goals. Greg finds deep fulfillment in the objectivity of our guidance and the assurance that recommended decisions are always aligned with the client’s best interests.

Actively engaged in his community, he has been involved with the non-profit Dorcas International, offering support to refugee families’ resettlement in Rhode Island. Additionally, he volunteers with a group in his hometown of Glocester, dedicating time to the maintenance of historic cemeteries. Greg also derives the greatest personal satisfaction from maintaining a harmonious work-life balance. He relishes in home projects, cherishes quality time with family and friends, and passionately devotes time to volunteering. Greg’s holistic approach to both his professional and personal endeavors embody his dedication to enriching the lives of those around him.

Heather Wolfe, FPQP™

Managing Director, Operations

Heather Wolfe holds a crucial role as the Managing Director of Operations at Aurelius, bringing over two decades of valuable experience in financial services with a focus on client service, trading, and account management. In her capacity, Heather occupies a unique intersection within the firm, interacting with various facets of a client’s financial journey, including custodians, banks, attorneys, accountants, family members, and, of course, the clients themselves. Collaborating closely with advisors, she helps manifest their visions for clients into tangible solutions, making operations an integral and dynamic part of the process.

Billie Jo McDermott

Operations Associate

Billie Jo McDermott brings her wealth of experience as the Operations Associate at Aurelius, drawing from a strong foundation in client service across diverse industries. Her career journey began in telecommunications, where she served as a Customer Service Rep for a prominent corporation. As her children were growing, she transitioned her focus, taking on client support roles for a lender and a financial software company. Billie Jo’s professional path also included contributing to the expansion of a New Hampshire-based all-natural personal care company, spanning responsibilities from customer service and office management to business development. Prior to joining Aurelius Family Office, she played a pivotal role at a busy Southern New Hampshire real estate attorney’s office.
